In 2018, I came across the story of Lido Lotefa, a young footballer who fled civil war in Congo and arrived in Ireland as a child refugee. From playing in his direct provision centre to signing professionally with Dundalk F.C., Lido’s journey is one of perseverance and grit.
After his contract ended, we followed Lido over two years to capture his fight to keep his dream alive. The story aired on RTÉ’s online hub, shining a light on resilience in the face of adversity.
I worked across directing, producing, and editing, alongside a fantastic team. It was for sure one of the projects I’m proudest to have been part of.
